You said yes. You booked the venue. You found the dress. And somewhere between the cake tasting and the seating chart, you looked down at your arms or caught a glimpse of your legs in a dressing room mirror and thought: I need to deal with this before the wedding.
There’s this particular kind of clarity that comes with an upcoming event. A deadline that makes you finally do the things you’ve been meaning to do for yourself.
If your wedding is in the Temecula wine country, this is your complete laser and skin treatment timeline.
Why You Can’t Start the Week Before the Wedding
Here’s the thing nobody tells you early enough: laser treatments are a process. Laser hair removal requires 6–8 sessions spaced 6-8 weeks apart. Tattoo removal needs 8–10 sessions spaced at least 8 weeks apart. Even a single laser facial or microneedling session needs 4-6 weeks of spacing between treatments.
If you start too close to the wedding, you’re either mid-process (still seeing hair regrowth, still seeing ink) or your skin is still in its healing phase. Neither is what you want in your wedding photos.
The good news: if you’re reading this with 6+ months to go, you have exactly enough time to do this properly.
The Ideal Bridal Laser Timeline
12+ Months Out: Start Laser Hair Removal
This is the ideal start window for laser hair removal. Starting early means you’ll finish your full series of sessions (usually 6–8) with time to spare, plus a touch-up session before the wedding if needed.
Areas brides typically treat: underarms (critical for strapless gowns), bikini or Brazilian, legs, and arms. We also treat the upper lip and chin for brides who want complete confidence on the day.
12+ Months Out: Begin Tattoo Removal (If Applicable)
If you have a tattoo you want significantly faded or fully removed before your wedding, 12 months gives you a realistic runway. Most tattoos take 8-10 sessions depending on size, color, ink depth, and your skin’s response. Starting at least 1 year out means you can see significant results and allow full healing before the ceremony.
At Erase & Embrace, we use the Candela PicoWay, the most advanced tattoo removal laser available. It works on all ink colors, including the stubborn blues and greens that older lasers can’t fully address.
6 Months Out: Start Your Laser Facial Series
A laser facial is one of the most powerful things you can do for wedding skin. It targets sun damage, dark spots, uneven tone, and fine lines. But results compound over multiple sessions.
Starting at 6 months out gives you time for 3–4 treatments, spaced 4–6 weeks apart, with full healing and your best results visible by the wedding day.
3–4 Months Out: Begin Microneedling
Microneedling stimulates collagen production and improves skin texture in a way that makes your skin look naturally plump, smooth, and luminous. It’s the treatment that makes your skin look incredible in photos, not overdone, just genuinely good.
A series of 3 sessions starting 3–4 months out means your results are fully visible and settled by the wedding. Your makeup artist will thank you.
6–8 Weeks Out: Final Laser Hair Removal Session + Touch-Up
This is your final scheduled session, with a touch-up on any areas that need it. By this point you should be seeing 70–90% hair reduction. We’ll assess, treat any stragglers, and make sure you’re smooth and confident for the big day.
4-6 Weeks Out: Final Laser Facial or Microneedling
Your last skin treatment session should be no closer than 4-6 weeks before the wedding to ensure full healing and your most radiant results. No treatments within 2 weeks of the wedding date.
