HOW IT WORKS
The Candela Picoway significantly improves melasma, wrinkles, acne scars and with skin rejuvenation with a series of quick, 15 to 20 minute treatments, with minimal downtime.

• Consultation: Schedule a consultation with a qualified tattoo removal specialist to discuss your goals, medical history, and any concerns you may have.
• Sun protection: For 2 weeks before treatment, avoid excessive tanning or sun exposure.
• Avoid irritants: Refrain from using any creams, lotions, or products that may irritate the skin in the area to be treated.
• Hydrate and moisturize: Keep the skin well-hydrated and moisturized in the days leading up to the treatment.
• For 2 weeks before treatment, avoid spray tans and any other kind of self-tanners on the area of your tattoo.
• For 2 weeks before treatment, avoid any aesthetic treatments that may cause irritation to your skin in the treatment area.
• Please make sure tattooed area is hair-free before your appointment by shaving with a traditional razor.
• Keep the area moisturized by applying vaseline to the treated area, three times a day or as needed for the next 7-10 days. If a blister develops, do not apply Vaseline until completely healed.
• For the next 24 hours, avoid wearing tight, restrictive clothing over the treated area(s).
• Within the 24 hours post treatment, you can apply cold packs (wrapped in a barrier like a towel) to the affected area(s), taking them on and off every three to five minutes for one to two hours.
• For the next 1-2 days, avoid physical exercise that causes perspiration or prolonged standing and/or walking (especially if the tattoo is below your knees).
• For the next 2 days, avoid direct heat, including hot water, saunas, and steam rooms.
• For the next 3 days, avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds.
• For the next 3 days and longer, use a daily broad-spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen SPF 30 or greater throughout the treatment course.
• For the next 3 days, avoid topical irritants such as harsh soaps, medicated washes, scrubs, oils, numbing agents, or antibacterial creams.
• For the next 3 days, avoid scrubbing, shaving, or scratching directly over area.
• Avoid swimming in chlorinated water until tattoo is fully healed.
